Horse and County Racehorse (HCR) offers a showing series consisting of one Inhand and one ridden ex racehorse class per qualifying show. Our Grand Final Championships are held in September of each year.
We also have seven performance awards spread over most disciplines.
HCR is open to Thoroughbreds and Standardbreds who have raced, trained or been bred to race. The horses should hold a Weatherbys or equivalent racing authority passport or provide evidence (i.e. from a racing trainer or breeder) that the horse falls into one of the above categories.
Our 2022 HCR GRAND FINAL took place on Sunday 11th September at Netherton Equestrian.
Our 2023 HCR Grand Final will take place on 9th / 10th September at Netherton Equestrian.

HCR is very easy going friendly and welcoming society who are happy to run along side other Ex Racehorse organisations! It is a group that share a love of Ex racehorses and encourage every level of horse and rider to take part! Team Storey have found it great fun for our horses and the team! The finals are great fun too with awesome prizes!! It’s a little organisation with a limited budget but a pretty big heart!!
